What is the definition of a cuckold?

Marriage
Cuckolds are traditionally defined as being married to their partner. The contract of marriage, and the subsequent violation of the wife's promise to remain faithful to her husband is what creates a cuckold.
Acceptance?
A man does not have to approve of his cuckolding to be rightly called a cuckold. The act of infidelity, even when arbitrary on the part of the wife and even when the husband does not have knowledge to it, nevertheless makes him a cuckold.
In English the word "wittol" refers to a cuckold who approves of (or is at least indifferent to) his cuckolding. The French employ a similar term, "Mari Complaisant" (literally translating to complacent husband). A wittol is, certainly, a cuckold - wittol simply becomes a more accurate description.
However, while all wittols are cuckolds, not all cuckolds are wittols. It is not necessary for a cuckold to approve of his cuckolding to meet the definition. It is only necessary that his wife has been unfaithful to him.
Infidelity
The husband's wife must have engaged in sexual activity with another man.
Flirting, dancing, heavy petting, "emotional affairs" and anything else which would not be considered a sexual activity does not rise to meet the definition - although it may be the harbinger of a cuckold in the making!

What can a member expect?

Why?

According to a 2022 study done by the Kinsey Institute, approximately 19% of married women will cheat at some point during their marriage, meaning that almost one in every five men will be made a cuckold at some point, whether they know it or not. Infidelity is a simple adult reality that may be actualized for any number of reasons.
There is nothing new about being a cuckold. You could describe it as a time-honoured tradition!
Literature is full of references to cuckolds, from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales in 1387 to many of the works of Shakespeare and Moliere in the 16th and 17th centuries. Even up to today's pop culture, audiences have both cried with and laughed at the many cuckolded husbands depicted in literature, on stage and in song.
